  • Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Programs

How Prepared do you want to be? How well trained? How well informed? How involved?

CERTCommunity Emergency Response Teams are formed in neighborhoods throughout the Nation to help each of us get trained and involved - usually for free. In fact, we were founding Board Members of our local C.E.R.T., and achieved Local, State, Federal and Corporate funding that allowed us not only to offer these great courses free of charge, but each Team Member gets a CERT Starter Bag at the end of their training at no charge to get them further along toward preparedness and participation.

What is nice about CERT Training is that an individual can get full training for Disaster response, yet has no further obligation. One can be as involved or un-involved as one chooses. The concept is really simple: The more individuals are trained on what to do (and not do) in case of calamity, the less stress there will be on Emergency Services in time of need. If we can each take care of ourselves, our family, and our neighbors if we choose - the more resources will be left available to take care of others that cannot.

C.E.R.T. ~ Are you involved in your Local Community Emergency Response Team?

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
