  • Get Ready to Fall Back One Hour

Learn When to Turn Your Clocks Back

It is now one of two times a year when everyone spreads the words, “spring forward, fall back.” On November 4 at 2 AM, a majority of the country will move "fall back" from Daylight Saving Time (DST) to Standard Time (ST). Our team here in Encinitas, California will be converting from Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) to Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Many use the sayings “spring forward, fall back.” to remember what to do with their non-cell phone clocks and turn them back one hour. Keep in mind, especially while doing business, not every region of the U.S. observes this change. In Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and most of Arizona, clocks will stay the same. For all those who are participating, enjoy the extra hour of cozy sleep!

Of course, as a safety company, we want to remind you that every time you change your clocks, you should check the batteries in flashlights, smoke detectors, and other emergency devices as well as checking expiration dates on emergency food and water, medications, and first aid supplies, and your AED batteries and AED pads, too!
